in other news, now i'm finally getting somewhere with clearing my house, i've shifted the router down next to the main phone socket, bypassing my own wiring so i can rip it out (never actually got round to fixing the socket to the wall, can't be arsed now)

i'm now getting 200kBps more than i ever did before...man my wiring is shit, still, not like i'm a comms engineer or anything, cos that would be embarrassing.
