new fred time
anyone got any plans for tomorrow? it's my birthday so i'll be slacking like a mad arse and having a long lunch.
also i'll be buying tickets to se the blakc keys at the round house... i discovered that if you turn up at the door and buy tickets direct you don't pay a booking fee, which is odd as it must be the most expensive way for them to sell tickets.
I am coming into the office to submit a planning application
then going to see the girl in the evening.
The Black Keys are great, good choice.
I would never expect to buy a booking fee for tickets bought on the door.
The staff are there anyway aren't they, the 'booking fee' is just a way for ticket agencies to scam money.
usually the venue staff are there
but they are not the promoter who is hiring the venue, I've been charged for it at normal places before but i think the roundhouse is arts council funded or somethign so are probably less wankerish.
well...
financially anyway
indeed
i'm still in the sticks until sunday
or i would come along
Next weekendy night i'm in town and you are at a loose end fancy a pint or 2?
also the bear now owes me £55000 - £15.52
could do
remind me nearer the time and I'll ask my liver if it wants to play.
will do
Yeah but the venue's making money off letting the promoter put a gig on anyway
so I wouldn't expect them to charge to sell you something they'll make a profit on.
Maybe I'm an idealist. Who goes to small gigs.
nah venue makes it's money
whether it's empty or full (excluding beer sales i guess)
and having people sitting there all day must cost money.
In my experience
The venue will charge the promoter for running a box office. But this will be taken off the face-value you pay the venue for a ticket, not added to the price as an extra fee for you.
Of course, the promoter could just hike up the ticket price for those sold by the venue.
It's mine on Sunday.
Tomorrow's one of my best friend's birthdays, so i thought I was going out with her, but it turns out she's doing a quiet night in with her boyfriend, so I'll probably do something with my lady. Then on Saturday I'm eating a shitload of ribs and getting rat-arsed.
where's the ribs at?
It's the best food in the world, man.
DELICIOUS.
Dunno.
I've not booked it, a friend of mine has.
Well, I think you've inspired me to have aa saturday rib night.
Or, perhaps, a visit to the tasty jerk centre, and pig out on pork belly.
Tomorrow: - Cooking
-Taking a train to Berlin and bringing a borrowed Dutch ladies bicycle (all my nikes are broken in the moment)
-Meeting with a Berlin friend.
Saturday: Meeting with Scottish friends for a Stag-do in Berlin, trying not to lose the bike
Sunday: Hopefully being able to catch the train back.
it's my birthday next tuesday, i'm going to see half man half biscuit
tomorrow, don't really know, arsing about. playing 5-a-side later, might have a ruby and a bottle of wine in the evening.
Tidying like a mofo
as my parents are coming for the weekend.
