We've got a good Hitachi one I just dried my hands at a McDonalds WCwith a dyson type airblade. Feels great, doesn't really dries your hands.

we've got a bosch onethat's great. The power is variable up to 1000W and it's light enough to hold while you're doing the stairs.

Both me and my mum have had a dyson for about 6 yearsneither has broken, and both are massively superior to the previous hoover, which in mums case was a henry.

I'll second the Miele recommendationMy previous hoover was a Dyson and the replacement Miele (Cat and Dog) is miles better
