(2002 I think) it was OK for modelling
why not just by a mark 1 transit for 30 quid?

(cost a tad more than £30)
She wants to model the insides before we get it built. Fortunately a good friend is a coachbuilder.

It's was a camper when we bought it - high roof, rear door, tiny excuse of a kitchen. It's been stripped out, it's going to be proper pimped. The coachbuilder and his mate are doing the insides, I'm doing the electronics (might get a real person in to do the mains loop) which'll include a built-in computer, stereo, etc and we'll be putting a couple of beds in. Then we'll hit the road at a max of about 55mph.
I'm sure dinner and nice walk would work as well. They you don't have to arse about with van
fitting an alternator off as late a model diesel that you can fit plus two batteries and a split charge circuit, then you'll be able to run an inverter for modest mains powered stuff
(other than internal lights) with the engine on, or when we're hooked up to mains.
Do I still need a beefier alternator?
sam at cowjam.net if you want to give me some idiot proof advice :)
